Here's our first video, which tells you more about Inner Dog TV, and shows you lots of cute dogs of course...

What's Next for Inner Dog TV

So, having zipped around Somerset, filming to our hearts content we've now returned to our bases in Cambridgeshire & Suffolk.

The Inner Dog TV team are really grateful to everyone who contributed to our visit, and willingly gave us their time. Everyone at Tilley Farm was very accomodating, and we're privileged to have Sarah Fisher contributing to our video magazine.

Nick Thompson, the holistic vet, was also very accomodating and supportive, and we're extremely grateful for the contribution of his wisdom & knowledge.

The Dogs Trust do some outstanding work, and we're looking forward to establishing exactly how we can help them to rescue more dogs when we launch the video magazine in November.

So... now it's a time for gathering all of the footage and editing, editing, and editing... well, inbetween administration, PR and all the filming we have lined up for the coming few weeks..

On Thursday we'll be filming Sally Rowe with some more excellent dog training lessons, and then on Friday we're off to do some underwater videography when we try to capture some hydrotherapy in practice.

It's busy busy times... stay tuned for our videos on dog behaviour, dog training, natural dog care and much more...

Taking a Waggy Walk in Bath

It was great to see such a good turn out for the Waggy Walks in Bath on Sunday morning. The weather was bright and fresh - all be it a little on the chilly side.. Most people were grateful for the yellow woolly hats that the Dogs Trust were handing out as part of the goodie bag for those taking part in the walk..

Sarah Fisher and her partner Anthony Head opened the walk in Victoria Park Bath, where we were also running around capturing some footage. Here are some images of some of the Waggy Walkers we met...

Wagging Tails But Exhausted...

It's been one of the busiest and most exciting weeks yet for the Inner Dog TV team on our busy bound up to the launch.

As the sun sets on Friday night our first week on tour draws to a close. Since filming at the Dogs Trust, we've been to meet Nick Thompson, who's agreed to feature in some videos relating to holistic health for dogs. Nick is a highly respected holistic vet, and we're really looking forward to hearing his views and capturing some of his wisdom & knowledge on camera. Our first filming session with Nick takes place in Bath on Monday.

After meeting with Nick we zipped back to Tilley farm where we managed to catch some amazing footage of dogs receiving body work to help with dog training and dog behaviour. The practitioners of the Tellington training method are fantastic in their approach to dogs. We witnessed first hand, some of the effects their work can have on a dogs mood and behaviour - over the coming weeks we'll be editing the footage so that you too can learn more about these amazing techniques.

Tomorrow - we're taking a much needed day off - before heading back to Bath on Sunday to join the Dogs Trust on one of their Waggy Walks. For the first time 10 locations around the UK will be holding a sponsored dog walk to raise money for the Dogs Trust. The weather is forecast to be bright and sunny, Sarah Fisher from Tilley Farm, is opening the walk in Bath, and of course Leslie who we interviewed the other day will be there too... It will be an excellent wind down to our week of filming, and we hope to capture much more dog action on camera while we are there too!!

Filming At The Dogs Trust

Today we visited The Dogs Trust, which is the largest dog welfare charity in the UK.

We visited the Salisbury centre, where we were kindly greeted by Leslie, who is a local relations officer.

Leslie showed us around the kennels and talked to us about the wonderful work that The Dogs Trust do to help the thousands of dogs in need of a home.

At any one time The Dogs Trust has 1700 dogs in care looking for a home. When Inner Dog TV goes live, towards the end of November, we will be raising money to help The Dogs Trust, and therefore have a direct impact on helping rescue dogs in need of a home.

For more information on The Dogs Trust visit their website: www.dogstrust.org.uk

Stay tuned to our blog to watch the full feature video when Inner Dog TV goes live in November.

Admin Day While On Tour

Tuesday's meeting with Nick Thompson was postponed until Thursday. Never failing to seize an opportunity we decided to crack on with some crucial admin work.

Thankfully, we had all the technology we needed with Flo the campervan, mobile internet connection and sunny weather!

Filming At Tilley Farm

We're blogging live from Tilley farm in Somerset, courtesy of modern technology and campervans...

We've just finished a full day of filming with Sarah Fisher and other TTouch practitioners. Today we covered topics such as how to stop your dog pulling on the lead, why your dog chews and how to help him/her, and how to help a dog who suffers from noise sensitivity.

Here's some photos of Sarah (and US :-) in action.... Keep coming back to be able to view the full video features!!!

Inner Dog TV On Tour

This week we've packed our campervan with filming equipment, laptops, food and clothes and headed south to Somerset.

Tomorrow we'll be filming Sarah Fisher at Tilley Farm. Tilley Farm is THE UK home of Tellington TTouch and is THE the place to go if you want to train to become a TTouch practitioner. We're really excited to have them onboard for Inner Dog TV, and can't wait to catch Sarah Fisher (the main woman) on film tomorrow. She'll be discussing some classic dog behavioural issues, and explaining/demonstrating how Tellington TTouch can help. Videos will be shown in our monthly features from the main website later in the year, but we'll also be filming some basic Tellington TTouch practices, which will be FREE for all visitors to the Inner Dog TV website. www.innerdog.tv.

For more information about Tilley Farm and the Tellington TTouch methods click here.

From Tilley Farm it's off to Apthorp, where we've arranged to meet up with Nick Thompson BSc.(Hons), BVM&S, VetMFHom, MRCVS, on Tuesday. Nick is a highly regarded holistic vet, and we're really looking forward to chatting with him to find out his views on natural dog care. You can read more about Nick at his own website: www.holisticvet.co.uk

Housetraining Your Dog

It was a great day on Saturday, the sun was shining - which always helps when you're filming outside! Though filming in Royston - which is very close to Duxford airfield - can be challenging.. Planes constantly flying overhead meant we had to keep waiting for plane free moments :-)

Sally took us through the crucial aspects of housetraining your dog. That was fun. In order to have appropriate footage we had to catch the dogs cocking their legs on camera! Do you think you can get a dog to pee when you want to? No... and of course to be in keeping with our ethics, we had to just wait and keep the camera rolling until the dog was ready to relieve himself, naturally... And then I needed to make sure I had a good enough angle etc etc... Personally - I really think dogs are camera shy, especially when it comes to going to the toilet.

Doogle, our star dog for the day, must have wondered why his pee resulted in such a tremendous cheer from everyone...

Dog Training Videos

This weekend we'll be out filming for some of the dog training videos that we'll be uploading to the Inner Dog TV website when we launch.

We've already filmed most of the footage for the basics, which everyone will have FREE access to on our website once we go live!

Sally Rowe, our positive dog trainer is just great! She'll be showing you all how to make your dog or puppy sit, stay, leave, come back, stand and lay down.

You'll be able to see her in action, and watch the video as many times as you like until you get the hang of it with your own dog!

This weekend we'll be focusing on filming for the dog training features that members of Inner Dog TV will receive on a monthly basis..

These features will explore more aspects of dog training beyond the very basics...
